The main place to dine at the Grand Central Hotel Glasgow is the Tempus Bar & Restaurant. The ‘Tempus’ name is a staple of the Principal Hayley group, and this particular restaurant does the brand proud. It has been stylishly designed with dark woods and aubergine colours. It has an entrance out to the street, so the ambience is more brasserie-like than that of a hotel diner. It has a contemporary menu of grills and international dishes, as well as a pre-theatre dining service.
The hotel also offers the relaxed Deli Central café, which exits into the station. It’s open from early in the morning well into the afternoon, so it’s a good place to enjoy a coffee and a Panini while you wait for your train.
However, one of the most popular areas in the hotel is Champagne Central. This is a striking bar with period architectural elements including marble and columns. It has a very cool mezzanine location, accessed by a feature staircase, and it has windows looking out to the station. It has a tempting menu of champagnes and cocktails.
